(August 2007) Rich Cronin (born Richard Burton Cronin, on August 30, 1975) is a singer and songwriter best known as the lead singer and primary Biography Early life Cronin was raised in Kingston, Massachusetts, attended Sacred Heart High School, and is of Swedish and Irish descent. LFO Cronin was part of the pop trio LFO who may be most recognized for the song Cronin penned, Summer Girls which was written in 1999 and hit No.3 on Billboard's Hot 100, and No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Single Sales chart for six weeks. The single also went Platinum in the US for sales of over 1,000,000 units. After LFO Sinc his days as the front man for LFO, Cronin has been busy writing for other artists and producing. Besides writing for and/or collaborating with O-Town, Aaron Carter, Jordan Knight, Brooke Hogan and countless other pop performers, most recently, Nicole Richie and The Jonas Brothers have recorded cover versions of songs previously written and performed by Rich. In 2005, Rich was ready to launch his solo career when he was sidetracked by a diagnosis of acute myelogenous leukemia which returned him from Orlando to his native South Shore Boston hometown. After initial treatment and a year In 2006, Rich Cronin teamed up with friend Doug Ray a/k/a "Toothpick", former emcee from the rap group Bad Ronald to form Loose Cannons and record Life Goes On, the debut album by the duo. 2007 brought Rich Cronin to the TV Screen as a cast member for the VH1 Reality Show Mission: Man Band also starring Chris Kirkpatrick of NSync, Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees and Bryan Abrams of Color Me Badd. The four former pop stars came together in Orlando, Florida to once again hit the music scene. Recording with producer Brian Michael Cox, performing and pitching their new music to major record labels, VH1 chronicled their month long endeavor in 8 episodes which continue to air internationally. After launching Orange Freeze Entertainment Corp [1], a multi-faceted corporation specializing in all areas of artist development, recording, production, publishing and distribution, Rich completed and released his first solo album Billion Dollar Sound in May 2008. Personal life Rich appeared on the Howard Stern Show on January 21, 2009 where they discussed his music career, his fight with Leukemia and his previous romantic relationship with actress Jennifer Love Hewitt.
