The high school's cheerleading In 2008, Connetquot's varsity football team defeated Freeport High School (New York) to attain the Division 1 Long Island Championship. On their way, they also beat Lindenhurst High School to win the Suffolk County Championship. Performance For the 2006 year, more than 90% of students passed Regents Examinations in Chemistry, English, Living Environment and Mathematics A; more than 80% passed Earth Science and Physics. In spite of this however, the high school has a notable record of gradating very few professional and doctoral students. The percentage graduating from college is thought to be much lower than the number initially attending. Incidents & Controversy In July 2007, two teenagers who attended Connetquot High School were arrested for planning an attack on the school. The plans reportedly include a hitlist of students and staff and how to ignite explosives [1]. According to a local radio station website, students interviewed said that they were not surprised of the arrests because of the many bomb scares in the 2006-2007 school year.
