The Princeton Review lists it as one of the 368 best colleges in the nation.[1] U.S. News & World Report ranks Lynchburg 33rd in the top tier of southern master's universities.[2] The College Board puts the College's average SAT scores for the middle 50% of incoming freshman at 460 - 570 math and 450 - 550 for writing [3]. LC is also one of only 40 colleges nationwide cited in Colleges That Change Lives and is also profiled in The Templeton Guide: Colleges That Encourage Character Development.
