The Secret Life of the American Teenager (also known as Secret Life) is a television series that debuted on ABC Family on July 1, 2008.[1] The teen drama focuses on the relationships between families and friends dealing with the unexpected pregnancy of character Amy Juergens, portrayed by Shailene Woodley.[1]

Secret Life ranked number one with the network's key demographic in its debut time slot versus cable television shows.[2] The show earned the Teen Choice Award for Choice Summer TV Show during its premiere season.

Season One had a total of 11 episodes. ABC Family has announced a second season starting January 5, 2009 with a total of 13 episodes.[3] The show has also been picked up by Canadian Broadcaster Citytv who started airing Season 1 in Canada on September 3, 2008.

spoilers!!!!!!!!! In this next season comming up amy and her so called boy friend will be getting married. Amy will sudenly have her baby and she will give it away to two girls! Lets just say they might be going over boared with this season but fassen your seat belt and get ready for some high adventure this season.

Amy wont know whats comming but as soon as the baby is born i brings the famiy back together and the mom and dad get back together, but now thwy are spending as much time as they can with amy because amy is about to move out and move into an apartment with ben and as soon as high school is over they are planning to try to get the baby back because by that time they will be ready to take on the challenge because they will have been living together for awhile.

She is very intelligent, yet very naive, and still retains a childlike innocence, despite carrying a baby. Benjamin "Ben" Boykewich (Kenny Baumann): A sophomore. Amy's sweet and caring boyfriend. He asks Amy to marry him after he learns of her pregnancy with Ricky's son or daughter. He wants to care for Amy as his wife and raise the baby as his own, even though he knows that the child is Ricky's. He loves Amy and tells her always.
