Terry Lee Pendleton (born July 16, 1960 in Los Angeles, California) is a former third baseman in Major League Baseball, and the current hitting coach of the Atlanta Braves. He played primarily for the St. Louis Cardinals and Atlanta Braves, but he also spent time with the Florida Marlins, Cincinnati Reds, and Kansas City Royals. During this fifteen year career, he went to the World Series five times, yet his team never won the title.

A graduate of Channel Islands High School in Oxnard, California and California State University, Fresno (more commonly known as Fresno State), Pendleton began his major league career with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1984. After seven seasons, two world series appearances, and two Gold Gloves, Pendleton became a member of the Atlanta Braves. In his first season as a member of the Braves he won the MLB Most Valuable Player Award, and made his only All-Star appearance the following year. After four seasons with the Braves, he
joined the Marlins early in 1995, only to return to Atlanta a season and a half later. Before his retirement in 1998, Pendleton managed to squeeze in a year each with both the Reds and Royals. He currently resides in Duluth, Georgia with his wife and three children. With little haste after his signing, Pendleton's minor league campaign began with the Johnson City Cardinals and the St. Petersburg Cardinals during the 1982 season.[4] Pendleton impressed
